Happy and Sad

Hi! guys, thank you to all your wonderful comments! Wow!! It's already March! Did you notice my new header? :) I want to use magenta or anything similar to pink in my post title and links but i had a hard time finding it. Soon I'll figure it out, for the meantime it's the only color that looks pretty in my eyes. :)

I promise to myself that I will sleep early tonight at least not 4:00am. :) Earlier, I had a conversation with my husband about signing up to PayPal since I'm interested to paid blogging. No objections to paid blogging but he's not allowing me to sign up with PayPal and register our credit cards. What?!? Sigh! So, I guess it's impossible for me now to earn extra income thru the net. So sad..

To keep myself busy, I made our Itinerary to Manila and Singapore:

March 6: departure at Casablanca 2:15pm
March 7: arriving Dubai 1:30am
March 7: departure at Dubai 3:45am
March 7: arriving Manila at 3:45pm
March 7: 6:00pm drop by at Southbay Gardens, to visit my Tita Ninang
8:00pm to Cainta (Daddy's place, meet the family)
March 8: 10:00am buy gifts for Iya and Gelo
3:00pm attend Gelo's 1st birthday, meeting with friends!

March 9: off to Singapore, eat our favorite Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle at Food Republic in Wisma Building
March 10: meet the friends in Singapore (Niki and Jocay)
March 11: visit Sentosa and shopping on the side
March 12: visit Jurong park and shopping on the side
March 13: meet friends pa rin (Mitzie and family) and shopping on the side
March 14: shopping and meet Fred's high school friends
March 15: off to Manila

All in all, I'm sad because of PayPal issues with my husband but on the other side, happy that we will go home! Happy weekend everyone! God bless!

She Want It Now!

While i was cooking for lunch my little girl kept asking me if she can have carrots. So i gave her uncooked carrots and she ate it! :) And then she went inside the room, now she's counting "one, two, three.... three balls!" As a curious Mom, i went inside the room and saw her sitting in the floor with three balls and yes she counted it again and again! :D

She's now calling me "Go out Mommy! Let's go! Pleaseeeeeeee", asking for her jacket and shoes "Come on Mommy! Walk walk there! (pointing to the door), I'm telling her to please wait because I will tell Daddy that we will go out, she said "Ok, fine!" There she is asking her friend Big bird to come with us. So, I guess we're off to LPG (La Pause Gourmande) now.

We're back with our favorite Almond and Honey Croissant! She's asking me if she can have soup so, I guess I'll be cooking her favorite chicken soup. :)

8 Random Things About Me

Dear Bela, thank you for this tag. I really enjoyed doing this and by the way, it is my first time to be tagged! :)

1) I was born on May 27, 2006, 1:41 am at Medical City Hospital. My mom said that i should have the same birthday with my Dad which is June 14. I went to China when I was 2mos old and stayed there for about 4mos until my mom decided to leave her job. My Inay Rora was taking care of me while my mom is working. When I was 6mos old, my mom and dad brought me here in Morocco, but every 6mos we are visiting my relatives in the Philippines.

2) I've got my first tooth when I was 6mos old and now i have 16. I love brushing my teeth and play with my toothbrush. I also love to play on water and everyday bathing time is fun! I love bubbles too! My mom said that even when i was little, I really love taking a bath.

3) Before my 1st birthday, I adore Barney. Even now, he is still my friend but I also love Big Bird, BJ, Baby Bop, Sponge Bob, Tweety, Pooh, Mickey and Minnie, Strawberry Shortcake and most of all Dora and Boots! It amazes me how map and backpack can sing and dance, maybe it is the reason why i love backpacks. I always sleep with Dora and Big Bird on my bed.

4) When I was 12mos old I love to play with my shape shorters, by then, I already knew different shapes like square, triangle, circle, oval and star. I used them as blocks and built my own tower. Even now, i love my blocks. I can make lots of castles using them. I enjoyed playing with balls and cars too. It's fun to kick the ball, throw and catch them. It's really fun playing catch and throw with mommy and daddy!

5) I love to read my books. At 12mos old, I already knew everything inside my Brainy Baby Books, the ABC's, Colors and Shapes. Now, i like reading my goodnight book. It has different stories and songs inside, my favorite is Mary had a little lamb. I love singing that song! Some of my favorites that I enjoyed singing are the Itsy Bitsy spider, ABC's, Old Mcdonald, Mr. Sun, Apples and Bananas, Wheels on the Bus, I love you and Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes.

6) Now, I can count from 1-20 in English and 1-10 in French. Most of the time, I'm also using French words like au revoir, merci, bonjour, à gauche, à droite, çava, douche. I know the different parts of my body in English and French. Also, I can introduce myself in French. Oftentimes, i say "sorry" to mommy and daddy, kiss and embrace them, say good night, good morning and i love you. My mom and dad said I'm their sweet little girl.

7) I always pray to Papa Jesus especially before sleeping. I can pray alone and do the sign of the cross.

8) It's fun dancing especially if the song is "Issa turn the wheel." I can do the "sexy walk." Also, I love eating apples, bananas, cherries, carrots, tomatoes, pancit, kinder chocolates and les enfants cheese. I enjoy writing and painting too and I can already draw a circle and straight line.

I would like to know what Kyle and Kaiden is up to these days. Thanks again Bela, I hope to see you and play with you. :)

I can't resist

It's been a week or so that i've been sleeping late. Do you think i have insomnia? I don't know why i couldn't sleep or maybe i'm just too excited to go home! Yes, not unless i'm done with my "to do's" which is shopping?!? i'm restless! I was supposed to get a lot of stuffs here and there but upon learning that we will splurge on shopping in Singapore and Manila then maybe it's enough for now. By the way, i got this from old navy. Just perfect for spring! :)

Also, we already booked this apartment in Montreal! http://www.rentquebecapartments.com/building.php?id=295 As of now, our plan is to stay there for a month and get our residence card. In our stay, we will visit Vancouver and Toronto and hopefully Calgary if time permits. My husband is praying that the Raptors will get into the semis so we can catch the NBA. For those who doesn't know yet, my husband is an NBA fanatic, his team is the Dallas Mavericks and his an avid fan of Dirk Nowitzki! And he got excited to hear that there's F1 race in Montreal this June, so we will definitely see that too! Thinking of our itineraries is so tiring! So much to do huh! :)

Booked!

We finally booked our March 7 flight to Manila! Yes, earlier than i thought. :) Tomorrow I'll be busy booking our Manila - Singapore flight with PAL. Did you noticed their rates? Can you believe it? It's almost the same with Cebu Pacific!

Going home!!!

Yesterday, Fred received the confirmation for his training in Singapore! Yey!!! so, we need to pack our bags and get ready for our much awaited vacation! we're planning to leave on march 14, Friday, so we will be in manila on march 15. It's another 18 hr travel, excluding the stop over! i hope my little girl will cooperate well with mommy. My only worry is she will get bored sitting for long hours! then, i need to bring lots of toys to keep her occupied.

Fred is suggesting if we can let Elyse stay at her Lola while we are in Singapore, absolutely not! i insist to bring her! though it's not easy to travel with a toddler, but i really want her to see the night safari or Jurong park? though I'm not sure if we will visit Sentosa again, but I'm convinced to drop by simply because i want her to see the underwater world and the dolphin show. Pros- it would be fun! Cons - I'm sure i will feel guilty if she skip her afternoon nap and not taking her milk as she used to be. Blame it to her curiosity! she can be easily destructed! hay... Ok then! now, i need to plan our itinerary for the trip!


And the pictures!! I'm not having enough time for digiscrapping lately.. my house helper is sick so, I'm doing all the household chores.. It's already 3:30am but i just couldn't sleep. Love Life

today is the 1st year death anniversary of my sister-in-law and nephew. she was about to gave birth to her second child then. it was anemia that caused her death though she was taking medications, but then it's not enough. it is still fresh in my memory, that day, i got an email from my tita ninang, telling about the sad news. i've had a lot of questions that time, how did it happened and why? i just talked to her a month ago that seems like it's only yesterday. she just got married with my brother! how's my niece who just turned 1? my mother who has hypertension? i don't want her to worry too much! my brother who is working abroad? does he already knew what happened? he seldom show his feelings, most of the time he's quiet but i always feel his concerns. i feel very sorry for him, i can feel his pain. i know it is still very painful, even i still can't believe it. although my brother is moving on now, but i know how hard it is for him. my niece is like my daughter too. i just love her like my own. she is really loved by everybody in my family. we're giving her as much attention as we can, because we know how painful it is to grow up without a mother. i'm just wishing that all her dreams will come true, hoping that she will grow up as a good person that her mother will be proud of her.

Just Inspiring!

i can't help myself sharing this..
i've got inspired by those people i've met recently. friday night, we had a post valentine celebration at sheraton hotel and it is our first time to meet another filipino chef, lito. he showed us how to cook our favorite chicken yakisoba!!! we've got to talk a lot of things.. like how he got into his field.. and we we're surprised to know that he is not a college degree holder. well, he is a street smart! he is a high school graduate who have passion for cooking.. he didn't realized that his passion will brought him to ten different countries. he even prepared food for michael jackson while he was in japan.. and now he is going to australia to work again in a 5 star hotel, and as immigrant. isn't that great? it made me realize to dream big 'coz there's nothing really impossible.

then saturday, we went to elyse's favorite place.. the "play area". she had 2 favorites here, the first is in la corniche.. that is why she is calling it "ocean". the other one is in megamall, which she is calling "mall." we decided to visit the latter. we had our lunch at dominos, had 2 scoops of gelato ice cream. yummy caramel flavor! after lunch, elyse spent her time running around, kicking the ball, throwing the ball and talking to her playmates. i just noticed that she is a picture of an aggressive child. she is not afraid of anybody, even bigger than her! she will get the ball if she want it but, thank God she's not hurting anybody by being aggressive. she's so petite compared to her playmates here, and by the way, she didn't get herself tired this time. a little maybe, but nothing compared the last time we visited the place. it's already 5pm when we decided to have our diner at fridays! thank God there is fridays! you might be thinking why 'am so excited to dine in an american resto.. because aside from kfc and mcdonalds, fridays is the only american resto here. i guess most are europeans. so, why happy? bread, pizza and pasta are their life here.. so, if you are not fan of them then, good luck! :)

surprisingly at fridays, we we're welcomed by their store manager, a big american guy. he is very nice and accommodating. sadly, the store is not yet officially open for public. they are still on "training process" but on the other side, as their guests, they will serve us for free! wow!! fred had ribeye steak with mashed potato and broccolli on the side, mac and cheese with fries for elyse, and clubhouse sandwich with fries for me! yum yum! what a great timing! :)
most of all, the trainers are filipinos! bravo bravo! i love the ambiance of the resto. so lively! we've got pictures taken with them and of course we had exchange of stories. they are so happy to see us and excitedly shared their experiences. we we're happy to know them too and that they are really great people! actually one of them was already offered to work here, it only shows how good pinoys are! so, we will definitely see him around. :)

around 12 midnight when elyse started yawning and getting sleepy.. so i got her milk and put her to bed. before sleeping..again, she is talking to her friends, murmuring.. then suddenly, she started counting in french alone!!! un, deux, trois, quatre....up to dix! correct in pronunciation pa! yey!!! i was so excited that i called fred who were in the living room that time.. and of course he is a picture of proud daddy! he even called his parents back home and told them about the news. :)

Sweety Sweet

every morning, fred is leaving the house at 8am and all the time elyse and i are still sleeping. ohh not all the time, sometimes i woke up early din. but since yesterday i slept at around 4am na, i had a hard time waking up early.. i didn't notice him while preparing for work.. it's already 10am when i feel like i need to get up and check if my little girl is awake already.. plus i need to prepare pa for our lunch. so there i saw elyse, wide awake and murmuring.. this time talking to her friend, pooh. :)


every noon time, elyse is waiting for her daddy to come from the office and will embrace and kiss him when he arrive. she will also say.. "daddy nis nis" or daddy miss na miss.. she simply mean "i miss you daddy". she will also embrace his daddy and tell him, "sweety sweet".. because if they are embracing and kissing.. i always made a comment "sweet na sweet".. she got that from me.. so from then on, every time she will embrace her daddy, she will say "sweety sweet". :)

My Little Girl... in Pink!

lately, my little girl often wants to communicate with us rather than get her toys and play. before getting up from bed in the morning and from her afternoon nap, she had a habit of talking to her "friends" by asking them one by one, what is your name? and respond to her question as well.. "name is bar-ney!" and so on.. yes, "naney and babird" not anymore! she can pronounce them correctly na! then, she will say the names of every person she knows.. like lolo ding, lola fe, ninong chi chi.. and many others.

some of her favorite words are excuse me, thank you, welcome, sorry, oh my gosh, what's wrong, yuck, let's go. whenever she is blocked by somebody or anything while walking, she will automatically say "tush me", like for instance when we had our friends in the house, they were unintentionally blocking her way and we're surprised when they heard her saying "tush me". we we're all laughing then! lol.

she love brushing her teeth alone.. although she's not really brushing her teeth but playing! this afternoon, i asked her to brush her teeth and of course she got very excited.. she happily said "mommy, thank you!". that really melts my heart.. hearing those words from a 20 month old little girl? i'm happy that she's always saying thank you whenever we are giving something to her.. a water, apple, banana etc. at her age, she seems to know how to appreciate things and she will eventually say "acome or welcome" too!

yesterday, she is touching the wall when she noticed the rough portion of it, she said "oh gosh". isn't she funny? :) also, when she have done something that i told her is "not nice", she will say "sorry, mommy!" with different voice tone ha! like she is begging. :)

and by the way, she still love singing! whenever she's playing or just walking around the house.. i can't remember when i started to hear her sing "o-oint there o-oint there, a-wooo", lately i just found out.. it was the "old mcdonald" song. hahaha..
her still favorite dance step is "issa turn the wheel".. which she got from her now favorite dora! yeah.. acting like she's turning the wheel.. while swaying her head and singing the song.. "issa turn the wheel, turn the wheel issa...."

oh! it's already 2:30am here.. need to sleep now. happy hearts day! God bless you all! :)

Getting Ready For The V-day

fred came for lunch with a box of almond cake and greeted me happy valentine! i was surprised knowing it is valentines day already. i really thought it is valentines day today. and then he said, "no, this coming thursday pa!" i was relieved.. i just checked the calendar and it's 2 days before the v-day. hmm.. i'm wondering what will i prepare for dinner on valentines.. maybe a black pasta with seafood? then a glass of champagne will be great! i would like to get a new set of scented candles at k-shop for a more romantic ambiance... and more of yellow tulips for our center table! i'm craving for mac and cheese too! have you seen this episode of oprah? where gayle is trying out yummy mac and cheese in different flavors? yum yum! talking about cheese, elyse love eating cheese.. just cheese! she would always ask me to open the fridge and get some for her and when she had enough, she will smash it and play with it! mess.. mess.. mess.. :(

knowing fred, he might arrange a dinner for 3 at our favorite hotel here in casa. of course in the japanese resto with our favorite ebi tempura maki and california maki. their salmon appetizer is very yummy too! including the chicken yakisoba prepared by their skillful chef. so.. we will see..

Monday Once Again!

last night, i've tasted a delicious pancit prepared by our friend here. that makes me feel so happy because that is a dish i really cannot perfect! i can prepare other dishes which i believe is more difficult but i don't know why pancit make it so hard for me.

yesterday at the church, we had a chance to meet the presidential daughter, luli arroyo. i didn't notice her not until we're on our way out of the church. a guy approached us saying "your daughter is so cute." i said "thank you." and wanted to say "you too!" ha ha ha.. not knowing it was luli's boyfriend. then here's another girl which happened to be luli's friend and daughter of the owner of duty free here, let's call her ms. tantoco.. she told me, "hi! you're so cute, kanina ka pa namin tinitingnan.." while touching elyse's hand. and there she is luli, telling me the same thing. we've had pictures with her using our friend's cam. unfortunately we don't have a copy yet so, i'll be posting it here as soon as i have it.

by the way, we have given away elyse's crib and other clothes. that really saves space from our closet. decluttering is something i love doing.. i want everything neat and tidy all the time.. though my husband is having a hard time understanding my point.. well, that's me! i would rather give everything away than having a pile of unused clothes in my closet...

Pondering...

hope you guys had a great weekend. as for me.. we had our weekly grocery and attended mass at christ the king, casablanca. we're supposed to visit the "ocean" where elyse loved playing but she fell asleep in our couch..

it feels different living in the country where you can't understand their language.. but more importantly.. you have the heart to stay.. i said that because when we lived in china for more than 2 years, i didn't understand their language.. but then, i learned some basic words which is enough in order for me to survive. i miss china though.. because for me, mandarin might be a difficult language.. but i easily adopted their culture. i gained a lot of friends there too.. and yes, i really miss them.. i have worked for zte corporation, china.. i guess this is a very controversial company in the philippines right now.. well.. those people i have worked with are nice and friendly. i enjoyed my stay there that is why i always wanted to go back and visit them. i felt so comfortable in their country that it's like my second home. maybe because what i have experienced there and the people i have been with are the best.. :)

anyway.. here in casablanca is almost the same.. french and arabic are their language and it's quite hard for me. so, we are grateful for having attended english mass every sunday.. it is actually for the benefit of the filipino community here. but most french, nigerian and english living here are also attending the same mass. we're of course proud that the choral group, readers and organizers are all filipinos and it make us feel at home hearing english and tagalog songs in the mass. galing talaga ang pinoy! :) but then for more than a year of staying here.. yes, we are blessed having this opportunity.. for earning much compared if we were in other countries.. i'm just starting to love everything here... i just hope that it will not be hard for me to leave it all behind. though i'm optimistic that our future will be better.. just having some thoughts in my mind.. will i be able to leave my little girl at daycare and go back to work since now i enjoy being a full time mom? well.. i know everything will be alright in God's will. just believe! have a great week everyone!

Going To School!!!

yesterday, on our way to my favorite bakeshop
'la pause gourmande', i noticed that there is a school near our place pala! it is just across the street! wow!! so i asked my husband to drop by asap and inquire if i can immediately enroll our little elyse. but since mommy can't wait 'til noon time.. mommy personally went there to check the place. good thing i need to get some milk for elyse at the pharmacy nearby so... i checked the place and was so impress! according to the director, they are teaching socialization for the enfants, it also includes art, music, culture etc. hmm.. i'm not so sure about the culture thing, i still need to find out what was it all about. i need to be more specific there. :D though they don't speak english there and their medium of teaching is french, my husband is the first person who gets very excited! because she wanted elyse to learn different language..most especially french.. then, maybe this is the best chance. we are planning to stay here for another year before we finally settle down in canada.. so, why not? give it a try! but not now, since their classes already started last september.. so, no choice.. but to wait.. not bad though since i'm enrolling elyse at little gym this march. thanks abie for all the info! muahh!!

It's Been A While!

it's been a while! i missed blogging.. and i missed blog hopping too! since we moved to our new house our internet connection is quite bad. as usual we are connecting illegally to a wifi around the area. even in our previous house, for about a year... we survived connecting to a free wifi! yes, absolutely free! :)
it's been a tough week for us.. tiring.. thanks again to "wawa" for helping me unpack our things and put them in proper places.. my only problem now are my bed sheets.. they don't fit and our toilet is smaller.. we don't have a tub.. so sad for elyse because she love to play in the tub with rubber duck while bathing. anyway the positive side.. we have a bigger bed, we are in a super nice location.. just steps away from everything.. shopping, supermarket, pharmacy et al... i love the ambiance of our new house.. it's really homey for me..
